Introducing Coventry Railworks
Coventry Railworks has been a side project for Will for some time. It started as 3D printing N gauge wagons for a friends and the range is steadily expanding. We’ve always been passionate about bringing history to life and the railway industry offers a wealth of overlooked subjects. With the successful conclusion of The Few Pt.2 Kickstarter, we decided it was time to bring everything under one roof.
Our first railway collection focuses on one of Scotland’s most distinctive freight operations: the transport of alumina ore from Blyth to the Lochaber Aluminium Works near Fort William. This journey takes specialised hoppers through some of the most spectacular highlands in Britain. The distinctive trains feeding the Lochabar smelter continue to run six days a week providing an essential component of Scotland’s industrial supply chain. We are bringing four new kits of distinctive alumina hoppers which span much of the 20th centry, from early LNER conversions of ex-coal wagons to the air-braked hoppers used through the 1990’s.
These railway kits don’t need anything other than paint and glue to complete; wheels, decals, and couplings are included. They are compatible with various wheel sets and coupling systems, should you wish to use others. We’re very excited to bring you these new offerings.

Details are rendered exquisitely in our durable model resin blend. Supports are easy to remove by immersing the model in warm water for ten minutes, then they can be pulled off gently by hand - no need for clippers, craft knives or files!
